Doodle Sheets

Description: Students are provided with gridded handouts on which they write down their ideas at various points in the lesson.

Rationale: Putting their ideas in writing often helps students organize their thoughts and keeps them accountable for participating. When students make their thinking visible teachers can assess the effectiveness of the lesson and determine what adjustments are needed. Remember that you can always modify the doodle sheet to fit your students' needs.
